BACHELOR OF ENGINEERING IN MECHATRONICS
Specializing in Mechatronics (robotics, control systems, computer hardware design, software). Graduated May 2019.
ALBERT LAGER PRIZE FOR STUDENT INITIATIVE 2019
The Albert Lager Prize for Student Initiative Award from McMaster University is designed to recognize students who provide outstanding support, leadership and community involvement & service to McMaster University.
I received this award for my involvements around McMaster University during my degree, including creating the Design Committee, helping run the Conference on Diversity in Engineering, HacktheCity, and CLAY.
PROFESSIONAL HISTORY
January 2021- Current
FABRICATOR - MAKERLABS
Worked with clients to create a wide variety of end products, predominantly focused on CNC milling, laser cutting, small electronics, and woodworking.
Devised and implemented strategies to reduce project time for fabrication team through better documentation process.
Led Creative Technology residency program, mentoring residents with electronics projects and doing administration for the program.
November 2019 - December 2020
RESEARCH ENGINEER -Â SANCTUARY AI
Implemented more organized and effective 3D printing procedures and managed additive manufacturing for a 20-person robotics and AI company.
Led aesthetic design for industrial-grade robot, managing a team to create sketches, renders, and 3D models for stakeholders.
Lead reliability testing to quantify component longevity. Designed and manufactured tests and wrote testing software.
Oversaw project with 5 team members to create improved robotic hand.
May 2019 - November 2019
DIRECTOR OF GOVERNMENT RELATIONS -Â SANCTUARY AI
Evaluated national grant opportunities and created a grant action plan to guide funding efforts.
Formed relationships with various granting organizations of which four were eventually awarded.

CREATIVE SPECIALIST - HACKTHECITY
HacktheCity is a nonprofit organization which runs a pre-accelerator program to help students create early-stage start up ventures.
Responsible for digital and print designs such as sponsorship packages, name tags, and digital advertisements.
Gained knowledge of the entrepreneurship ecosystem and startup companies.
Worked with planning team to implement new ideas and foster inclusion and diversity, helping to hire two new team members

MEDIA & DESIGN COORDINATOR - MSU CLAY CONFERENCE
Responsible for brand identity and promotional campaigns for the Creating Leadership Among Youth Conference, a 3 day conference for high school students.
Hired and managed a media team responsible for creating a recap video and event photography.
Created a 100-page guidebook, print and web advertisements, and other branded materials.

MARKETING DIRECTOR - CDE CFES 2017
Responsible for brand identity and promotional campaigns for the Conference on Diversity in Engineering 2017, a national conference with 150 delegates and 30 speakers focused on intersectional diversity.
Aided in creating accessible documents and spaces throughout the event.
Advised and collaborated with a large 13-member executive team.
Secured $10 000 in sponsorship through networking.
March 2016 - March 2017
AVP SERVICES & PRODUCTIONS & ADVERTISING COORDINATOR - MES
Strengthened management and leadership skills by overseeing McMaster Engineering Society (MES) assets, five coordinators, and three publications with their editors.
Exceeded original position responsibilities by creating and managing a new committee of student designers to make digital and print advertisements, and to grow student graphic design skills.
Gained event-planning and communication experience by running a multi-day workshop with guest speakers.
